      "details": "Michaela Guzy is an American documentary filmmaker, travel journalist, media executive, producer, and on-air host. She founded OhThePeopleYouMeet Productions (OTPYM) in 2012 after leaving her corporate role as VP/Global Travel and Strategic Development at American Express Publishing.\n\nMichaela creates and hosts the award-winning series OH THE PEOPLE YOU MEET with Michaela Guzy, focusing on PEOPLE, PLACES + PURPOSES, and empowering local hosts to share their own narratives. The series has aired on American Airlines In-Flight, KTLA+, Thrive Global, Qatar Airways, Modern Luxury’s M/LUX Network, and People’s Planet across Southern Africa. Season 4 began filming May 2025. She also co-produces and hosts LEADERS IN LUXURY, with season 2 recently filmed.\n\nIn response to COVID-19, she launched InspirationStation, a visual podcast with 125+ episodes and over 10 million views. In 2020, Michaela gave up her NYC home and belongings to start SLEEPING AROUND SAFELY, documenting her adventures as a solo female traveler and jetset digital nomad. She has been “houseless, not homeless” ever since, traveling across 120+ countries. The series has won multiple festival awards and airs on M/LUX, People’s Planet, and KTLA+.\n\nA global advocate for sustainable living, regenerative travel, and human connection, Michaela speaks at industry events worldwide and appears on CBS, NBC, FintechTV, PIX11, CNA, CHEK TV, and KTLA. A former NYU adjunct professor, she mentors next-gen filmmakers across Southern Africa and supports initiatives ending homelessness and breaking poverty cycles. She serves on the advisory boards of Global Women’s Foundation Band of Brothers (Veterans) and Future of Hospitality Summit Africa.",
