She is the founder of OhThePeopleYouMeet Productions (OTPYM), which she launched in 2012 after leaving her corporate role as VP/Global Travel and Strategic Development at American Express Publishing.\r\rMichaela creates and hosts the award-winning series OH THE PEOPLE YOU MEET with Michaela Guzy, focusing on PEOPLE, PLACES + PURPOSES. She empowers her local hosts to share their own narratives. The series has aired on Qatar Airways In-Flight, Modern Luxury’s M/LUX Network, People’s Planet across Southern Africa, American Airlines In-Flight, KTLA+ Thrive Global. Season 4 began filming May 2025.\r\rIn response to COVID-19, she launched InspirationStation, a visual podcast with over 125 episodes and over 10 million views on OTPYM channels. While everybody was at home during the height of the pandemic in June 2020, Michaela Guzy broke up, gave up her home in NYC - along with all her belongings- to start SLEEPING AROUND SAFELY an idea she conceived to show the world that it would soon be safe to travel again - she has been houseless, not homeless ever since. This jetset digital nomad has traveled to over 120 countries and invites you to snuggle in with her at the world' best luxury hotels, cruise lines + even safari tents. The series has won multiple awards at film festivals and is also now distributed on M/LUX, People’s Planet and KTLA+.\r\rA global advocate for sustainable living, regenerative travel, and human connection, Michaela speaks at industry events, conferences, and film festivals worldwide. She appears as an expert on CBS New York, NBC, FintechTV at the NYSE, PIX11, Channel News Asia, CHEK TV, and KTLA. \r\rA former NYU adjunct professor, Michaela now mentors next-gen filmmakers across Southern Africa and supports initiatives focused on ending homelessness and breaking the poverty cycle.
