      "details": "Paul Merryman is a film & television producer with a focus on amazing true stories along with all things genre. He holds an MFA in Producing from the American Film Institute and a BS in Radio, Television, and Film from the University of Texas at Austin. He started his career as an assistant to visionary film director Sam Raimi. Following several years as Sam’s development executive running Raimi Productions, he branched out on his own as an independent producer, producing the critically acclaimed Afghanistan War film THE OUTPOST, starring Scott Eastwood, Caleb Landry Jones, and Orlando Bloom. He maintains an active slate of development projects in addition to his work as a producer. Recent productions include the horror film HOUSE OF ABRAHAM starring Natasha Henstridge, Austin shot feature films AMERICAN BABY and THE SALAMANDER KING, Peter Brunner's dramatic thriller DOWN THE ARM OF GOD starring Caleb Landry Jones, Nick Stahl, and Mena Suvari (producing alongside french auteur Luc Besson), and ELASTIC HEARTS , directed by Milad Avaz, starring Cole Sprouse and Darby Lee-Stack. ",
