      "details": "Edson Jean is a Haitian-American filmmaker. His debut feature Ludi premiered at SXSW 2021. He is a Gotham Narrative Lab alumnus and directed all eight episodes of Complex Networks’ First scripted Series Grown, which was Streamy and MIPCOM nominated. He participated in the writers room on Issa Rae’s HBO Max series Rap Sh!t. His short The Adventures of Edson Jean aired on HBO after ABFF/HBO. He has received artist fellowships from Film Independent, Oolite Arts, Third Horizon, Monson Arts, and the Peter Bullough Foundation. He is developing his 3rd feature: Sea Spirits, a Haitian Folklore horror film.",
