Summary

What if you could spend an hour at SXSW… at grief camp? A place where everyone’s been through something hard, and no one pretends they’re “fine.” Experience Camps is flipping the script on how we process grief through play, connection, and clinically informed practices. In this immersive workshop. clinically-trained counselors and facilitators will guide you through activities designed to explore the expression and processing of grief. It’s playful, messy, cathartic, and it’s for anyone ready to rethink grief and connection. Grievers and non-grievers are welcome!

He is the founder and director of Wolfson Psychology Group, a private practice in New York City, and the clinical director of Experience Camps’ Adult Grief Retreat, a non-profit organization where he also spent a decade as the regional clinical director of a summer camp program for grieving children. In addition to offering individual and group therapy to grieving clients, he provides acute crisis consultation and intervention to communities impacted by loss including schools and businesses. Dr. Wolfson serves as an adjunct researcher and professional education trainer at Columbia University’s Center for Prolonged Grief, where he completed his postdoctoral fellowship pursuing advanced training in the highly efficacious Prolonged Grief Treatment.
